22. Auction: Review
We began our spring auction with an exclusive offer: 111 rare Lots injected excitement right from the beginning of our sale. The bidding jolted to life immediately on the first lot ( NSKK, NSFK each on a "Solokarton") which jumped to 46000 EUR. Among the other highly anticipated lots of this section were "Widerstandskämpfer-Entwürfe" from Gerd Aretz (sold for 17500 EUR), an Heydrich-Block (hammer price 11000 EUR) as well as a block issue "Hannover-Messe 1949 mit liegendem Wasserzeichen auf FDC" (hammer price 8.200 EUR). Of the 111 lots offered, more than 85 percent sold.
The pace of the sale - as usual - noticeably picked up for a the collection part. The wide range of high results in different areas served as prove for the good material. Estates of dealers and collectors multiplied the opening prices. Wide-ranging demand and good realizations for rare values were once again guaranteed in our single lot section: A used Olympiablock without perforation sold for 31000 EUR ein. Other lots topped their expectation as well, e.g. lot 7908 (hammer price 4000 EUR) and a 40 Pfg. Posthorn on piece (12500 EUR). The 22nd auction saw a successful finale with the special parts SPERRATI forgeries and the <<Roseneck>> collection.
